With the Fashion Weeks in New York, Paris, Milan and London all wrapped up, it's time to review some of the trends both on the runway and with the glitterati in attendance.
In general, the look is oversized yet classic. Muted colours, classic shapes, yet with a twist such as accented browlines or unconventional materials. Cat-Eye sunglasses are particularly in vogue.
From the Gucci show, these models are showing the same sunglass silhouette as Gucci's current "Techno Color" Ultralight Round double-bridge frames, yet the details reveal a larger frame size and thicker rims, in Havana Red Tortoise Shell and Shiny Black finishes (these new models are not yet available).
Turning to Burberry's open-air fashion show in London's Hyde Park, the "Birds and Bees" theme showcased a very airy and Spring-like feel with bright greens and blues. Denim jackets were a core feature of the look, paired with classic Cat-Eye and Rectangular sunglasses, similar to the Burberry BE4156 (Cat-Eye) and Burberry BE4159 (Geometric / Rectangular).
Away from the runway, supermodels Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss were two of the most familiar faces in the front row of the Burberry show. Kate's Cat-Eye sunglasses were spot-on trend (and similar to the Burberry BE4156).
Marc by Marc Jacobs Sunglasses New Collection
Marc by Marc Jacobs had a notable show with avant-garde models done up in dramatic topknot mohawk hairstyles, complementing the bohemian look of the brand. The outfits were paired with oversized round sunglasses, similar to his model MMJ 396/S.
Ray-Ban Oversized Wayfarers
On the sidelines of the Fashion Weeks, international fashion personality and soon-to-be mom, Miroslava Duma (left), was seen sporting oversized Ray-Ban Wayfarers.
Miu Miu New Collection
And Poppy Delevingne (right), Cara's sister, was seen around London in her current favourite, Miu Miu's 06OS teal suede geometric sunglasses.
